A quick update on my Color Blank project: Here’s one of the little characters that I worked on over the weekend. His eye is completed but I jacked it up and need to get my hands on a white sharpie before I post any final pictures. Getting his eye right proved to be more difficult than I thought. That combined with my wanting everything to be perfect mentality didn’t go well together. More pictures to come.

I’ve been feeling particularly uninspired and uncreative as of late so when I saw these dudes on sale at Target I didn’t hesitate buying them. There were on sale for $4.99/pair and they drew a few comments from the folks here at the office. I had to reiterate the fact that these ARE NOT for my girls but they are, in fact, for me to keep here in my lovely cube.
Their called Color Blanks made by Rose Art and each pair came with a small set of stickers and 6 mini sharpie like pens. I’m thinking of doing some sketches first - yes, I’m anal like that - but I see some metallic spray paint in my their future. I might even photograph some of these guys around town if they turn out okay.
More to come.

In a word: solitude. Creativity flourishes in solitude. With quiet, you can hear your thoughts, you can reach deep within yourself, you can focus.
